Update November 25, 2004. Construction is booming on the island with land prices sometimes up 100% in value in just the last year alone. Combine this with the prices of raw materials being up over 30% in the last year and you will see that the longer you wait to purchase, the higher the price will be. That having been said, there is quite a bit of 2nd hand houses available that doesn't appear to be selling very fast.
