Kite surfing- Phuket has two predominant weather patterns throughout the year, with the Southwest monsoon blowing the wind from the west during May through October, while the Northeast monsoon blows from November through May. If you’re a beginner, the best time to come and take lessons would be during the Northeast monsoon which corresponds to high season. There are two kite schools, Kite Board Asia and Kite Zone which set up in Chalong Bay during this time of year. During the low season SW monsoon, the kite schools set up at Nai Yang Beach. For the advanced kiters, you can find some great spots all along the various west coast beaches.
