Kata Noi Beach nightlife, restaurants, hotels, shopping
Kata Noi Beach-Just over a headland from Kata Beach, is Kata Noi. The most recognized landmark of this beach is the KataThani resort which takes up over half of the beach. The sand here differs from Kata Beach in that it is more of a golden colour and is very deep sand. At the north end of the beach is a popular surf area which features a right hand break very near some big rock formations. The water is a very nice shade of crystal clear turquoise. If you have a surfboard or are a strong swimmer, you can go out in front of the rocks on the north end and admire the myriad of colourful tropical fish. Places to stay in Kata Noi- The biggest and best known hotel is the Kata Thani which takes up half of the beach in Kata Noi. The room have been updated in the last couple of years and we can highly recommend this hotel. There are also some smaller 3 star hotels across the street and down a couple of hundred metres from the KataThani resort. For more choices of places to stay, Kata Beach is less than 1 km away from Kata Noi. Places to eat in Kata Noi. Perhaps one of the nicest restaurants in Phuket is Mon Tri’s Villa Royale( formerly Mon Tri’s Grill) This is owned and operated by the same people that started the Boathouse. Kata Noi also features numerous lower cost Thai food restaurants and the national food chain, the motorbike food carts. We highly recommend going from Kata Noi and going up the hill to a series of restaurants that overlook Kata Noi and the sunset. Here you can have a cold beverage while watching the sun set, then have a nice Thai seafood dinner. This area is known as the “After Beach” area and there are 4 restaurants here including a Reggae Bar that features live music on occasion.
Kata Noi nightlife. If you are looking for nightlife,
your best option is to head back to Kata Beach. There really isn’t
anything going on in Kata Noi except for a few small bars. The exception
to this is to head up the hill to the “After Beach” area for
some Reggae Music.
